SEO and GEO services in Switzerland.

Remote, technical, and honest about what a consultant in India can and cannot do here.

Fawaz BH is an independent SEO, AEO and GEO consultant working with Swiss businesses remotely from Kushal Nagar in Kodagu, India. An engagement with a client in Switzerland is upcoming, which is the honest reason this page exists rather than a claim of an established Swiss client base.

Switzerland is a demanding market to work in remotely and I would rather set that out plainly than sell around it. It has four national languages, a small population split across those language regions, high buyer expectations, and competitors who are generally well resourced. What travels perfectly is technical SEO, structured data, entity strategy and answer-engine work. What does not travel is writing native German, French or Italian marketing copy, and I will not pretend otherwise.

The local picture

What search in Switzerland actually looks like

Generic SEO advice fails because it ignores the competitive set and the way people here phrase a query. This is what I look at first.

02

Swiss German search is not the same as German German search

Search in the German-speaking region uses Swiss spelling conventions, Swiss vocabulary and Swiss terminology for many everyday services, and Google treats a .de site and a .ch site quite differently. Keyword research borrowed from Germany produces plausible-looking lists containing terms Swiss users do not type. It also matters that German competitors frequently outrank Swiss businesses on generic terms, so the local specificity of your content and your entity signals is often what decides who wins the Swiss result.

03

Low search volume changes the entire economics of the work

Even a large Swiss category may generate only a few hundred monthly searches for its main commercial term. That makes traffic volume a poor measure of success and makes conversion quality and value per enquiry the real metrics. It also means broad content production is usually the wrong strategy: a small number of precise, genuinely authoritative pages beats a large content programme. This is a market where the kind of narrow, careful work a single consultant does is a better structural fit than a content factory.

04

Buyer expectations are unusually high, which rewards substance over marketing

Swiss buyers, in both consumer and B2B contexts, expect precision, completeness and reliability, and they are quick to discount a vendor whose information is vague or inconsistent. Practically that means exact specifications, transparent pricing where possible, clear terms, real credentials and no overclaiming. That is fortunate, because it is the same discipline that answer engines reward: checkable facts stated plainly. Content that would feel too dry elsewhere performs well here.

05

AI answer visibility is a genuine opening in a well-resourced market

Swiss businesses tend to have competent conventional SEO, because they can afford it. Answer-engine and generative-engine visibility is much less commonly measured, and it is entirely independent of my location. If an assistant is asked to recommend three providers in a Swiss category, that answer is assembled from structured, corroborated information, and improving your position in it is work I can do to the same standard as for a client next door. In a market this well resourced, that asymmetry is where an outside consultant is most useful.

06

Data protection expectations are stricter than most clients are used to

Swiss data protection law, alongside GDPR for EU-facing traffic, shapes what analytics and tracking are acceptable, how consent must be handled, and therefore what measurement is realistically available. This affects SEO directly, because consent-dependent analytics changes what data you can act on. It is better to plan measurement around those constraints from the beginning than to build reporting that depends on data you should not be collecting.

Who this suits

The Switzerland businesses this work fits

I am one person with a short client list, so I would rather be specific about where I add value than claim to serve everyone.

B2B and industrial exporters

English-language technical content for international buyers, where Swiss precision is the selling point.

Professional and financial services

Credential clarity and entity strength in categories where trust signals decide the enquiry.

SaaS and technology companies

Selling beyond Switzerland in English, where location is irrelevant and comparison content decides shortlists.

Hospitality and destination businesses

Multilingual planning-stage content for inbound visitors, with native copy reviewed locally.

Healthcare and specialist clinics

International patient content in English, built on verifiable credentials.

Companies with weak AI answer visibility

The clearest remote opportunity, because this work is entirely location independent.

The work

What I do for Switzerland clients

Four disciplines scoped as one connected strategy, because entity clarity, structured data and answer-first content earn Google rankings and AI citations with the same work.

02

Technical SEO and content strategy

Site health, indexation and structured data first, then a topic map built around commercial, informational and comparison intent. Internal linking is planned so authority concentrates on the pages that actually convert.

How engagements run

Four stages, each with a document you keep

01   AUDIT

Free discovery audit

A written technical, on-page, local and answer-engine review of your site, benchmarked against the competitors actually beating you in Switzerland. Yours to keep whether or not you hire me.

Prioritised roadmap

Keyword research split by intent, plus the 20 to 40 buyer-phrased AI prompts that become your citation benchmark. Scope and price agreed in writing before anything else starts.

03   EXECUTION

Hands-on implementation

Technical fixes, structured data, content and entity work, carried out directly by me. No account managers, no junior handoffs, no subcontracting.

04   MEASURE

Report and iterate

Rankings, organic traffic, conversions and the prompt set re-run per engine on a fixed schedule, so a real gain is distinguishable from ordinary volatility.

Working arrangement

How I work with Switzerland clients in practice

I am based in Kushal Nagar, Kodagu, India, so a Swiss engagement is entirely remote. Calls are scheduled rather than on demand: India Standard Time is three and a half to four and a half hours ahead of Switzerland depending on daylight saving, which means a Swiss morning slot works comfortably for both of us. I would rather agree a predictable weekly window than promise availability across your whole working day and fail to keep it. On language, the working language is English. Where native German, French or Italian copy is needed, I build the strategy, structure, briefs and structured data, and a native speaker on your side or a local writer produces the final wording. That is the honest division of labour and it produces better copy than any translation workflow I could run.

Questions

Switzerland SEO questions, answered up front

Phrased the way people actually type them into Google and into AI assistants, including the ones where the honest answer is not hire me.

Do you actually work with Swiss clients?

An engagement with a client in Switzerland is upcoming. I am not going to claim an established Swiss client base, because I do not have one yet.

That is the honest position, and it is on this page deliberately. What I do have is four named qualifications, an Ahrefs Academy certification, Semrush AI Visibility Essentials, Semrush Technical SEO and AI Search Essentials, and an Advanced Diploma in Digital Marketing from Adrex Media School, plus documented work in India. If you would prefer a consultant with a long Swiss track record, that is a reasonable thing to want and you should hire one.

Can you write content in German, French or Italian?

No. I work in English, and native marketing copy in your language should be written by a native speaker.

What I do is the strategy, the keyword and intent research, the site structure, the content briefs, the technical implementation and the structured data. A native speaker on your side, or a local writer, produces the final wording from those briefs. That division produces better copy than any translation process I could manage, and it is more honest than implying I can judge tone in Swiss German. If you need a consultant who writes natively in your language, hire locally and I will say so plainly.

What does an engagement cost?

Published rates are in Indian rupees, starting at 14,999 per month for a Starter scope and 29,999 per month for full-stack SEO plus AEO, with combined SEO, AEO and GEO quoted after a free audit.

For a Swiss client the relevant scope is usually the technical, structured data, entity and answer-engine work rather than a local package, so it is quoted against a defined scope after the audit. Those rates convert to a figure well below Swiss market pricing, and I would rather you understood exactly why: my cost base is in India, not that the work is a cut-down version. Full rate card on the services page.

How do you handle the time difference?

With scheduled calls in a fixed weekly window rather than a promise of constant availability.

India Standard Time runs three and a half to four and a half hours ahead of Switzerland depending on daylight saving, so a Swiss morning slot is comfortably within my working day. I would rather commit to a predictable window and keep it than claim to be reachable across your entire working day and quietly fail at it. Written reporting and shared documents carry most of the detail anyway, which suits a time-shifted engagement well.

Should we target German, French and Italian at once?

Usually not. Pick the language region where your customers actually are and be genuinely strong there first.

Each Swiss language region is effectively its own search market with modest volume, and spreading a limited budget across three produces shallow results in all of them. The exception is a genuinely national consumer business or a destination attracting visitors from several regions, where multiple languages are a real requirement. Even then it is better to sequence them rather than launch all at once. Which applies to you comes out of the audit.

Why hire a consultant in India for a Swiss business?

For the parts of search that are genuinely location independent, and for a cost structure that lets you do more of them.

Technical SEO, structured data, entity strategy, English-language content strategy and answer-engine visibility work identically regardless of where the consultant sits. Those are the areas worth hiring me for. What you should not hire me for is native-language copywriting, in-person meetings, or anything needing on-the-ground presence in your market. If most of what you need falls in that second group, a Swiss consultant is the better choice and I will tell you so in the first conversation.

Is low Swiss search volume a problem?

It changes how success should be measured, and it actually suits careful work better than large-scale content production.

Many Swiss commercial terms generate only a few hundred searches a month, so traffic growth is a misleading target. Value per enquiry and conversion quality are the real metrics. Practically this means a small number of precise, authoritative pages outperforms a big content programme, and it means reporting should track qualified enquiries rather than sessions. It also raises the relative value of answer-engine visibility, where being the cited source matters more than aggregate volume.

How does Swiss data protection affect the work?

It constrains what you can measure, so measurement should be planned around it from the start rather than retrofitted.

Swiss data protection law, plus GDPR where you serve EU visitors, governs consent, analytics and tracking. Consent-dependent analytics means some of the data a reporting dashboard would normally assume is simply not available. That is manageable, but it has to be designed in: choosing compliant measurement, setting expectations about attribution gaps, and relying more on Search Console and server-side signals. I am not a lawyer and will not give you legal advice, so your compliance position should be confirmed with someone who is.
