Medical travel search starts far outside Mangaluru
Mangaluru hospitals draw patients from Kasaragod and northern Kerala, from across coastal Karnataka, and from Gulf-based families arranging treatment for relatives at home. Those searches are condition-led rather than location-led: someone searches the procedure, the specialisation or the second opinion they need, and only then narrows by city. A hospital optimised only for its own name and city misses that entire earlier stage, which is where the decision is actually made.
